Norman Lamar “Shorty” Strong Died September 28, 2007

KINGSTREE — Norman Lamar “Shorty” Strong, 63, died Friday, September 28, 2007.

Mr. Strong was born February 11, 1944, in Kingstree, a son of the late William Britt and Margaret Tisdale Strong. He was a graduate of Kingstree High School and hotel management courses and served in the S.C. National Guard. Mr. Strong was in hotel management with several companies, including Hospitality Concepts, Inc. He was a member of Millwood United Methodist Church.

Surviving: one brother, William Britt Strong Jr. of Kingstree; two sisters, Linda Cook of Bethlehem, Conn., and Evelyn Tyler of Kingstree.

A graveside funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday in McClary Cemetery, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
